Radish recipe from Pakistan: Muli PAlak
I’ve noticed that I don’t know any warm European recipes with radish. Radishes are usually only served as a fresh side dish with snacks and snack platters.
There are lots of radish recipes in Pakistan and India. Here is one of them. A classic: muli palak . “Muli” means “radish” and “palak” means “spinach”. It is a very simple and quick radish recipe. It’s one of the warm radish recipes that my mom often cooked for us when we needed something quick. I am delighted to be able to immortalize our family recipe here today.
Which side dish to serve with my radish curry with spinach?
My radish curry with spinach goes well with basmati rice, chapati or naan as classic side dishes. Alternatively, quinoa, couscous or potatoes are also suitable. A refreshing raita, spicy pickles or crispy papadam complement the dish perfectly. A light cucumber or tomato salad with lemon and fresh coriander rounds off the curry wonderfully.
