My yogurt mint dip recipe – simply delicious!

Today I’m finally sharing my yogurt mint dip recipe with you. It’s super easy and tastes incredibly good! You can actually serve it with almost anything. I’m very happy to share this recipe with you today:-)

My beloved yogurt-mint dip

Anyone who has been following me for a while, whether on my social media channels or here, is probably already familiar with my yoghurt and mint dip, which I love to serve with my dishes. We prefer to eat it with rice dishes, but it also goes really well with potato and bread dishes. Until now, I’ve never bothered to post a recipe for it because I always thought it would be too trivial – but I was wrong! Well, it’s still trivial (simple), but not everyone knows it. That’s why today I’m dedicating an entire blog post to my beloved yoghurt mint dip:-)

What to look out for in yogurt mint dip?

What many people underestimate here is the amount of fresh mint. Many people can’t imagine that a whole bunch of stems and leaves are needed for this. But that’s exactly how it is, if not more! For my taste, the more fresh mint the better :-). I usually buy fresh mint from the Turkish greengrocer. You get a lot for very little money and you also save on unnecessary packaging material!

Which ingredients in the yogurt and mint dip?

Actually, just three ingredients are enough for a good and uncomplicated yogurt-mint dip: Yoghurt, lots of fresh mint and salt. But if you like it a little peppier and spicier (like me), you can also add fresh green chili pepper, fresh coriander and a little lime juice. This is how I prepared the dip for my paneer tikka wrap.

The ratio of ingredients

It’s really hard to say, because everyone likes it a little differently. That’s why I always recommend mixing all the ingredients with a tablespoon of yoghurt in a small fooprocessor first and then gradually adding the rest of the yoghurt. This way you can always taste it and decide when it’s perfect for you! And if there’s anything left over, it’s no problem at all, as it can easily be stored in the fridge for several days!

3 recipe suggestions with yogurt-mint dip

  • Pilau (one-pot rice dish)
  • Biryani (The queen of all dishes)
