Jalfrezi

When we have a lot to do during the week, I like to prepare a warm, fresh curry dish for the whole family at the weekend. Like this chicken jalfrezi, for example: simple, quick, warm, delicious and homemade! Exactly the kind of food I crave the most when I haven’t eaten Pakistani food for a long time.

Chicken Jalfrezi ingredients?
As already mentioned, the main protagonists here are: Chicken and peppers (red, yellow and green). I decided to add the red onions here. I think they not only taste good, but also look perfect! As always, good spices are the heart of any good curry dish. Here I used coriander powder, garam masala, paprika powder and turmeric.

What is Chicken Jalfrezi?
Chicken Jalfrezi – a classic that should be on every Indian menu! I’m sure some of you are already familiar with it. The special feature here is the roughly chopped colorful vegetables, which should still have a slight bite at the end and are cooked in a spicy sauce.

Is it difficult to prepare chicken jalfrezi?
Chicken jalfrezi often seems too complicated and that’s why many people don’t dare to cook it themselves. So today I’m going to prove you wrong, because it’s not as complicated as it looks! It’s super easy and I promise you, once you’ve cooked it yourself, you’ll never order this dish from an Indian restaurant again! It tastes better homemade.
